This page explains how to permanently delete your Qareib account and the personal data associated with it. Self-service deletion is built into the Merchant Dashboard and takes less than a minute.
1. Self-service deletion (recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is directly inside the Merchant Dashboard. Steps:
- Sign in to your Merchant Dashboard at app.qareib.com.
- Open the user menu in the sidebar (your profile name and avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar).
- Click "Delete account".
- Read the warning, then click "Send verification code". A 6-digit code is sent by SMS to the phone number on the account.
- Enter the 6-digit code and click "Delete account".
- You are immediately signed out. The deletion takes effect at that moment.
2. What happens when you delete
We immediately and permanently:
- Anonymize your user profile (name, email, profile picture).
- Revoke all of your active sessions and refresh tokens across every device.
- Free your phone number so it can be re-used to register a new account.
- Disconnect any messaging channels you owned (Instagram, WhatsApp Business, Facebook Messenger, TikTok) and stop receiving webhook events for them.
- Stop processing your data for product analytics, marketing, and operational notifications.
For legal, financial, and dispute-resolution reasons we retain a minimal subset of records:
- Order, invoice, and financial transaction records — retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Iraqi tax and commercial law, with all personal identifiers detached from your profile.
- Anonymized aggregate analytics — retained indefinitely; not linkable to you.
- Conversation messages associated with disconnected channels are purged within 30 days of channel disconnection unless required for an ongoing dispute.
- Records subject to active legal proceedings or regulatory holds — retained until released.
3. Alternative deletion request channels
If you cannot use the in-app flow (lost phone number, forgotten password, multi-tenant edge case), send us a deletion request through any of the following channels and we will process it manually within 30 business days. We will verify your identity before completing the request:

Self-service deletions take effect immediately. Manual requests sent through the alternative channels above are completed within 30 business days. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 5 business days, please resend your request — we may have missed it.
